For the direct connection between GRAFFY/HYDE and a large company- database, DURST offers the EDM/PDM-connection. This allows access to all company-relevant partnumber and construction data which are typically located on a central database either during a Schematic- and Layout-design-process or during a mechanical design. The selection of a specific part in GRAFFY/HYDE is made mostly automatic in a dedicated window. Construction parts lists are also handled. The matching modification-level can be requested at any time. The connection-program also allows manual input of old or new parts lists. They will be stored and automatically sorted correctly in the EDM-system. An integrated forms-generator allows to convert existing parts lists from other (older) systems into the internal format. There they are stored and can be managed like updated ones. Any new project needs individual adaption.  This CAE-EDM-connection has been developed on base of the modules of Eigner & Partner AG, Karlsruhe (www.ep-ag.com)
