DURST CAD/CONSULTING GmbH has been founded in December, 1985 as a softwarehouse.

The company is located in Holzgerlingen (near Stuttgart) and develops complete CAD-solutions for graphics- and electronics applications on UNIX, LINUX and WINDOWS-platforms.

During the first years the company developed system enhancements and offered services for the HP EGS system.

Since 1986, the company develops software for thick- and thinfilm-designers (hybrid-circuits). A cooperation with the Technical University of Munich and the Draegerwerke-Luebeck in 1989 brought the know-how to develop an own hybrid-design-system with the goal to design hybrid layouts much more efficiently than before.

In the year 1991 the company purchased the source-code of the HP EGS-CAD-system (with its powerful graphics-editor-kernel) from Hewlett-Packard Co, Fort Collins, Colorado, USA.

This product has been translated totally new and ported from the HP-platform to many other platforms, plus a new easy-to-handle user-surface was added. Until today the company is improving this product and enhancing its functionality. The new product has been named GRAFFY. Working with GRAFFY protects the customers' earlier as well as their future investments. This is, beside the quality of the software, one of the top priorities for DURST CAD/CONSULTING GmbH.
